Brooklyn Bridge White Flag: What do you think it meant?

What do you think the white flags meant?

I think it may have been to show that we as a nation appear weaker and let other countries do whatever they want. Just my thoughts of why they would replace our country's flag with white flag, a flag of surrender.

In all honesty, I'm reminded of nothing else so much as the movie "Turk 182"....... If the perpetrators don't attach a statement as to the purpose of their actions, one can only be amused and admire the audacity of the 'stunt'.
