What Special Operations organizations benefit from or need a 25Q2P? I have a peer looking for a new challenge.

I'm looking into SF, The recruiter told me that upon completion of selection and going to Q course mos goes to needs of SF at that time. unless you want 18D medical sgt. Can't speak for anything else. My friend is 25Q he is currently in RASP.

I'm tracking SF and the MOS 18E. There are plenty more SpecOps units than SF and Ranger Reg, though. You should have your friend post his story here upon completion of RASP.

Do you want to remain a 25Q? if so Ranger Regiment is the only SOF unit where you will actually be SOF and not some support guy/ gal that doesn't go through any selection and just gets assigned there (except teir 1 units of course). Like SF support guys/ gals. Also if you come to Regiment and complete Ranger school you'll get the "U" sqi which is for Ranger Regiment Rangers only.

I saw this on another post earlier. It may be helpful:

"https://actnow.army.mil/ It has a listing of every assignment location for your MOS and paygrade. The only thing it doesn't do is tell you if that assignment is currently occupied."

Thanks. I know about Army Career Tracker. I was hoping to run into someone that needed a 25Q within their unit.
