Are we spending money properly in Afghanistan? Why not more at home?

The up armored Ford/Chevy vehicles in Afghanistan are rented from an afghan company for thousands per month. Why are we pumping millions of dollars into that company under the supply side economic premise? While back home service members & veterans are losing benefits, homes and Mgib/Post 911 funding?

The evolution of "contractor" warfare has thrown the system into Chaos.

It used to bother me somewhat that every piece of equipment I had issued to me was produced by the lowest bidder.. now I'm not so sure that's the case!

So true MSG Wade Huffman now a days it appears as though there are no financial limits when it comes to contracts and how much DoD pays. Oh but we have to cut back on soldier health and welfare programs! Seems DoD has joined corporate America in the evil thinking that personnel, like IT, are revenue degraders that detract from the bottom line. Well at least GOs don't get lucrative bonuses (that we know of)
