I am heading to Camp Carroll Korea, 501st Sustainment BDE. I just have some questions. Such as what are the living quarters for the SR NCO's, BAH and the assignment. This is my first time in Korea. So any advice would help.

Never been to Cp Carroll, but if it follows the general pattern of Korean development, there are a lot of really nice high-rise apartments that are going up that have modern (read Westernized) ameneties. As a senior NCO, you very well may end up off-post. Also as a senior NCO you will be allowed to have a car. You can typically get one from a soldier PCSing off-pen for a decent price. Around Yongsan (in the middle of Seoul), average cost was about $1500 for a decent hooptie. Remember, if you have a car, in all liklihood, you will only drive it from home to work as Korean traffic can be nasty and there aren't a whole lot of places to park. Flip side, Korea can boast some of the best public transportation in the world. CP Carroll is also a hop-skip from Daegu, which is IIRC the second largest city in Korea. Lots to do in and around there. Enjoy your tour. Korea can be great, but only if you make it so.

I have the family with me so I am in quarters and Im also in Yongsan. All Seniors stay off post here so you will have to get a realitor and find a place. You can bring the essentials but you can draw all furniture from the Gov. They will supply you with everything.
When is your report month?
