The answer is no. The Maximum total payment will likely be $64,000.00 for a single veteran. Some say $75,000.00 but they don't take into consideration that the amount would have to be approved by the house also. And the likely outcome is that the quality of life payment will be caped between $700-1,600 a month. But unless the Senate writes it as proportional they will have no room to negotiate with the house. What about tri-care? The fix to the tri-care system is apart of the defense reauthorization Act. What about the retired veterans receiving disability without the veterans Administration adjustment? It's still being worked on in the house I'll post the bill name and number once it makes it to the floor of the house. It's not likely to be passed before the election. So what are we asking the Senate to do in the Veterans’ Compensation Cost-of-Living Adjustment Act of 2016 (S.3032) and what is the best way to contact your Senators? 1. Give service connected disabled veterans a 25% pay increase. 2. Make Quality Of Life payments to veterans who are 60% or more disabled making payment proportional to the veteran's disability rating and allowing for back pay three years for 100% disability or less and five years for permanent and total disability. Award the maximum VA pension to veterans who have a service connected disability rating of 100% or permanent and total if they are not receiving military retirement. Allowing for back pay three years for 100% disability and five years for permanent and total disability. E-mailing your Senators through their website is the fastest way to connect with them on any subject.

That all seems like a dream to me. If we get a 1% COLA adjustment I'll be happy.

I think AD gets 1.6 pay increase but the BAH will go down 5% which means a pay decrease.

CPT Joseph K Murdock - The BAH decrease is over a few years, not all at one time so it won;t cause pain for most. Semper Fi.

LCpl Timothy McCain - This really makes no sense

What bill was I troduced to whom

Who signed it ?

I'm a Veteran in case you didn't know , I am also 100% P&T.

Your commentary on the original post was very hard to read and Was convuloted.

There is no reference to anything that would show the details in a well written format.

I do not believe that this was something "WE "would endorse.

Can you provide the original text to the bill that "WE" asked for.

Thanks

Google the veteran's disability commission report. Secondly there are two bills. The American Heroes COLA Act passed by the house and the Senate companion bill that is discussed in the original post. They are both dealing with the same situation, however the Senate bill is incomplete and hasn't made it out of the veterans oversight committee. If you want you also Google the Senate veterans oversight committee. Now only the Senate over sight committee can make major changes to veterans disability pay and because there is bipartisan support for giving a 25% disability pay increase, giving veterans Quality Of Life payments, and allowing veterans who are 100% or permanent and total disabled VA pension if the veteran is not receiving military retirement.
