I was reading up on the MOS I would go into if I went the Warrant route (255N) and at the very bottom of the page there is an exemption for E4's. Has anyone successfully transitioned on a waiver? (https://www.nationalguard.com/255n-network-management-technician)

We just received the WO selection board analysis for the Signal Regiment. The minimum prerequisites for the Signal MOSs were not waived. They received 14 packets requesting waivers for NCOERs, TABE test, COMPTIA Security Plus certification, and College English requirements (rank would be included in this because as a SPC you would not have any NCOERs) and none were approved. The average rank was E6 with 10 years TIS, over 60% had at a minimum had ALC, and near 70% had more then just Sec+ certification. Don't be discouraged just work hard toward you goal.

There's a lot that go into the score, as I stated, paying a loan off early isn't necessarily good. I downloaded this app called Mint, and they give you all of these helpful tips on budgeting, improving credit score, investment advice. I would look into getting that.

SPC(P) (Join to see) - My issues is mainly student loan debt from a decade back. I'm using debt consolidation program with them. But I don't foresee myself hitting 720, or even 700 by November lol. (When I might be submitting my packet)

SSG (Join to see) I had pretty bad credit like <600 when I first enlisted and got my TS/SCI. I had no problems getting it.

SPC(P) (Join to see) Unless you have outrageous amounts of outstanding debt (like $300k outstanding), you will have no problem getting the clearance.

Waiver for Signal warrants fie grade requirement is very difficult. Aside ftom technical skills leadership is critcal. Get promoted to E5, and get 4 solid NCOER and take the tough jobs. That will make you competitive for 255N warrant officer.
