I was told by my Brigade Commander he wanted my Finance Detachment to see the field for a week, and this was in December with lows down to zero. I was having a tough time as I was going through a divorce as well. We did it and the morale was actually sky high. That is what I call the troops pulling for their commander and themselves.

That one second when there is a problem and you realize you're the one everyone is looking at to fix it.

When there is a discussion about how to fix a problem but you're the only one with a different idea. Everybody else is towing the line.

Chow time. Since I always make sure my troops and commander eat before me. So when I finally get a chance to eat chow, it is usually solo.
