Spouse is a German National. Can a dependent child go command sponsored and the spouse non-command sponsored to Germany ?

My spouse may be denied due to EFMP. Screening is upcoming. My spouse is from Germany and I am on assignment for Germany, 20 min from her hometown. What if anything can be done to get the family together overseas if my EFMP screening comes back warranting enrollment and subsequently denied Command Sponsorship for my spouse?

Your spouse can go wherever she likes, your dependent children should be on your orders if you have authorization for an accompanied tour. The challenge you face is that the military nor Tri-Care are obligated to take care of your spouse medically unless you face an emergency, and even then there may be issues. Best advice go to the personnel office and peel this onion back.

Roger CSM and thank you for the information. I am going to peel this onion and I wish I could explain the whole situation with my wife, but I don't want to blast her medical history on the internet. She says, and her father says, that she will regain her German Health insurance due to an employment opportunity through her father's girlfriend. If EFMP denies, I am only fighting to bring my daughter on my orders and I'll fly my wife with me. I can't go to Germany on an all others tour because it's a smack in the face to my wife.

WILCO CSM. Thanks again. My CDR is checking into the "Plan B" of getting my daughter on my orders if this EFMP situation goes south. If all pans out for the best next week then all this is not going to be an issue. We are going to stay positive and hope for the best.

Just curious, why can't your wife just decide to go? If she's from the area, I'm sure she would be able to figure something out for housing for you guys. The Army can't tell your wife and family where they have to be, right?

LTC Yinon Weiss - She had neck surgery and needed a consult for follow ups. We didn't expect this and we're warned that she could be enrolled by the social worker and I'm just fishing for plan B's

LTC Yinon Weiss - She plans on that if I can go with my daughter command sponsored and her not. I'd pay for her ticket basically but get to ship or household goods. She'd take care of the medical on her own.

If my branch is unable to work with me and delete an assignment I will have no choice but to elect for a 2 year "All Others Tour".
Thanks for the question.
