Has anyone ever been to the Unit Training Management course?

I went when I was stationed at Fort Hood back in 09. If I remember correctly it was 2 weeks long. What helped me, I got acquainted with AR 350-1 and had a sit down with the S3 for a good battle rhythm.

It's difficult to get in. That class is always full. I tried for several years. It is not required if that's a concern.

There is a "Training NCO" course that is held at the Professional Education Center (PEC) at Camp Robinson, Arkansas. This is a 40 hours course that is helpful for newly appointed Training NCO's because the first 4 days cover DTMS almost exclusively. The last day and a half prior to out-processing they cover ATRRS input.

Depending on your "Daily duties and scope" assigned by your Supervisor/Rater, you may be required to complete many other administrative duties as well. If this is the case, you should also consider looking into the Basic HR and Admin Course. This is another 40 hours course that covers many other topics such as resolving pay problems and submitting Soldiers pay, memo writing, awards, and many other common tasks.
