I have seen more examples of groups from all backgrounds utilizing race/sex to gain exemptions/ garner special treatment in wear and appearance of the uniform, and acceptable behavior in uniform over the last few years than I did when I was in service. Has it gone too far?

SPC If there is any kind of quota system at all the card is used. I don't care where or what it is there should be no quota.

I think that it's very possible that many SMs have tried to use a characteristic specific to them in an attempt to change the way the military affects their personal lives. To be honest, I don't think it's based on race, sex, orientation, or faith. I think there are too many soldiers who look out for number one instead of realizing that a soldier's job is one of sacrifice for the greater good. It's not about me, me, me. The organization and MWR will try to do their best, but you're still going to be in the suck. Get used to it.

Overall, I think the situations where someone "pulls the card" are few and far between, and given way too much attention.

That Card is Incorrect, My out of Jail Free Card was a different color and read "To All Law Enforcements Officials you will render whatever assistance this Agent requires". Yea I carried a DIA Courier Card for Several Years in Navy Blues. As far as this "Complaint" I put it in the same category that I put those that condemn PC Political Correctness in that they want to go back to being able to say the most outrageous Racist, Misogynistic Crap Imaginable and get a free pass. Nope it doesn't work that way. Yes the Military has made great strides and in some respects has always outpaced our Civilian Counterparts in trying to achieve Equality and Fairness but we still have a Long Way to Go before we start patting ourselves on the back and yell "We've Arrived".

PO1: I can't agree with all you have to say. I know people in the south did' t talk like you suggested. The race card was played at work some, not much but against management they always lost. I assume PC to you means everyone has their rights. For every fight you give to a minority someone loses their right as the majority. Example, bathroom and showers. More girls are against it and feel like their privacy is gone. Great trade off. That idea is the most stupid thing out of Washington in a long time.To me, the PC world is pass it's time and sending the wrong message.

MSgt John McGowan - Dennis Hastert Didn't put on a dress to conduct his evil deeds, Jerry Sandusky didn't put on a dress to conduct his evil deeds. Those that equate Transsexual with Sexual Assault are Completely Blind to Reality.
