14E or 14H? What are the benefits of having these jobs?

I'm reclassing from 88m to one of these jobs. I'm interested in what skills and certifications you can take to the civilian sector. How can they help you transition to the civilian sector?

I was a 14E as an LT in the NG. I got a sweet defense contracting job doing missile defense testing based on nothing but the fact that I had competed ADA officer basic and had a couple of months experience as fire control PL. For reference, I had no testing or engineering experience prior, I had been a high school chemistry teacher for 11 years.

14H will be better on the civilian side

ENLISTED: As a 14E my entire 18yr career, i can honestly say 14H is the better of the 2. 14E are very limited to stateside locations as well as overseas, without going into specifics. 14H guarantees you progression from a line unit, (i.e. BN/BDE) whereas 14E, you can stay in the line unit until E8. Civilian path for 14E: 14E to system maintainer, system maintainer to warrant officer, warrant officer to RAYTHEON. If you choose 14E, become an officer, that will open much better job opportunities.

Just go with aviation, ada is dog shit. When u do transfer into civi life, they only jobs u can get with those experiences are as a contractor for the military. The leaders in ada are incompetent compared to other mos' leaders

I know I'm a bit late, but if you're still undecided, go 14E. The reason for this is simple, promotions. 14H are over strength at E6/E7 due to the bottle necking that has occurred since 2012.

Quality of life is a bit better as a 14H, but either way... you're stuck in ADA unless you find a special assignment at division level or higher.
