So I'm open to any Government contracting positions in IT. I was wanting to see if any Rallypointers are in the field and working for or contracting with the government. I would like to PM you with some questions. Thank you

SPC(P) (Join to see) Great question! From an Employer standpoint, DoD and Non-DoD IT Contracting is what I do. PO1 John Miller pointed out that there are Government Contractor opportunities that are DoD and there are those that are Non-DoD. His comments regarding the main difference being the CompTia Cert and Security Clearance are accurate. All DoD IT Contract positions that I have had will require at least one CompTia Certification as well as Continuing Education requirements (along with a Security Clearance). Non-DoD opportunities can be all over the place in terms of requirements. Both situations have pluses and minuses and it's really the contractor's call in terms of what works for them. Feel free to message or email me if you have specific questions and I will help you in any way possible. Good Luck!
