In a recent interview with the Christian Post, the former Growing Pains star said, "Wives are to honor and respect and follow their husband's lead, not to tell their husband how he ought to be a better husband. When each person gets their part right, regardless of how their spouse is treating them, there is hope for real change in their marriage."

Honestly for the past 22 years I've been following my wife's lead and it's worked out pretty well :-) We make all our decisions together because we honor and respect EACH OTHER. Sometimes she drives, sometimes I drive based on where the priorities of our kids and families are in our lives.

Who wrote about it while Jesus was alive, or even a couple decades after his death? No event in history is more documented? WW2? If by documented you mean written about hundreds of years after it is supposed to have taken place you might be right. If you mean actual documentation thousands of years ago, how about Tiberius? His life was fairly well documented, you list the number of people who wrote about Jesus that had seen him while he walked the earth and I'll list more who wrote about Tiberius, having actually seen him. Then we can talk about physical evidence, coins, busts, and statues.

Let's also be clear, I think it likely that someone named Jesus existed, that he inspired a lot of people and that he was killed by the Romans and that his followers spawned a Jewish sect which eventually evolved into the Christian religion. I simply find it ridiculous that you believe these things are proven, yours (along with every other religion) is a religion founded on faith... not proof.

MAJ Carl Ballinger - Also without Constantine's Council of Nicea there would be no Pauls Letters in the Bible. The Council of Nicea threw out a lot of wonderful books from the Bible, I've got an extensive collection. No the Bible, The Modern Bible is a Political Tool that is Used and Abused by Others to Excuse their Abuse of their Fellow Human Beings.

MAJ Carl Ballinger - Authorship of many of the books of the books of the New Testament is disputed, since we can't be sure who wrote them... it's sort of hard to verify that they were first hand witnesses. Then there is the issue with Paul, Paul didn't come on board until after Jesus had died and it is believed that he wrote roughly half of the New Testament.

"MANY first century historians, many of them not sympathetic to Christianity, wrote about an verified the events of and surrounding Jesus' life, ministry, and death." Define many... I only know of two. One who was hostile (Tacitus) and one who seems to have reported the story told to him by early Christians (Josephus). What other first Century historian wrote about Jesus? There are some other writings that mention someone named Jesus, however that's about as conclusive as mentioning that there was someone named Bill or even a Bill who had a brother names Bob. Jesus was a common name during the period, and there were many messianic movements at the time.

Absolutely right, SGM. Don't tell my wife I said that, though.
