Prior and current Drill Sergeants, what do you enjoy about training new soldiers? What do you miss? Is there something you wish you could do differently but can't because of TRADOC regulations? I've been interested in becoming a drill sergeant, but I'd like to hear the good and bad from others that have been on the DS trail already.

When you pick them up they know absolutely nothing. When they graduate, you can see what you did to change them from civilians into soldiers.
