I am reclassing to a 68P. I was wondering if anyone could help me out with stuff I should start studying now before I leave in October. What will AIT be like for reclass students? Will there be restrictive phases that you have to go through to get more privileges??

I'm currently in school for 68C, reclassed from 11B. If it's anything like what we did, soldiers that were reclassifying were given a "prior service" phase patch. Not too many restrictions, however in the TRADOC environment certain things can be banned based on TRADOC rules. For example, alcohol and tobacco were banned in phase I, but allowed in phase II. I hope that helps a little.

Yes and no. Phase I generally is SM only, unless you are staying both phases at Ft. Sam. Phase II, prior service were able to live off post with their family and it was treated like a normal duty assignment

Hey Kendra I finished AIT about a year and a half ago and I have pretty much all of my books still if you want them.

The most difficult part for you will be finding someone to study with. There are very strict policies about prior service spending time with other AIT students. Hopefully your class has another prior service member. Quizlet is your friend. Like someone else already stated, lots of anatomy, some simple formulas, and physics.
