How can I best appeal an AMEDD admin rejection after being selected?

I was boarded on the Nov 15' AMEDD Commissioning Board. I was told that I was selected (Captain) and awaiting commissioning. I found out yesterday when the scroll released that I was admin rejected. Reason being, I received severance pay in 1994 from the Marines. HQ knew of this sev pay, processed, boarded, selected, scrolled. HQ now says rejected because sev pay. Appeal submitted. Thoughts?

How do you know it was rejected because of severance pay? No results are given because of admin ineligible or non-selects

Yeah that's very unfortunate indeed. I wish they would give us the WHY? But they do not. i can't speculate on the reasoning behind the decision. What does your recruiter, and the medical company say. They probably don't know as well other than what you stated earlier. What job were you going for?

But to suggest an avenue of an appeal process, I have not seen it. I would suggest to follow any guidance from your medical recruiting company if any.

SFC A.M. Drake - They called HQ and there was the back and forth regarding the DC payment I received. They were told that if I were going active there would not be an issue, but I am going reserve. The only reason for reserve was secondary to being told I had to do one year reserve then switch to active. This came down when my CV review was processed. The whole thing is aggravating given the fact that for the past 5 years, HQ said I was able to process...

SFC A.M. Drake - I appreciate your comments. I just found this out yesterday and am glad I have some people on here to discuss it with. By the way, I processed as a 66p. Recruiting station out of Nashville, Tn.

I am sorry this happened to you, but don't lose hope just yet as the medical department is incredibly forgiving as a whole to its doctors. Good luck in fighting this and I'm sorry for the setback.
