The Mission Command Conference is 22-26 FEB. What can I expect? What can I do to prepare?

Near and dear to my heart.
It is basically the art of delegation and building synergy through exercising disciplined initiative when challenges appear.
Check out ADP 6-0. Link below.

There are numerous books written on the subject as well.

Looks like a great opportunity! You will have a big impact with those future officers. Here's an article from the event in 2012:http://www.army.mil/article/78921/West_Point_hosts_Mission_Command_conference/

A few notes from 2014 if this helps prepare you? I'd love to attend too! Good luck.

COL (Join to see) , Thank you for the references, they were very helpful. I also found a youtube video on the 2014 conference. This looks like a great opportunity for both cadets and mentors.

I apologize that I do not have an answer for you, however, I am very intrigued. How did you get on the invite list? Is it by invite only or did you have to register?

Ma'am,
My unit was offered a few slots for specific individuals to attend, most likely through FORSCOM. They requested a Platoon Sergeant, Platoon Leader, Battalion Commander, and one other that I'm not sure of, possibly a CSM or CPT/MAJ. I don't know what to expect, whether we will simply be attending or if we will have a role in the actual conference. Either way, I am looking forward to the event, and the chance to impart some knowledge on our future leaders.

Lots of panels, a speech or two from the generals, and cadets. They will want to know about how you deal with a new LT, platoon sergeant expectations, your best/worst PL... Personal stories are best. How to get the most out of the platoon is a good one too.
