Yeah, I do. And comfortably. Just don't be stupid with your money.
That is to say, being smart with your money is mostly making a habit of not being stupid with your money.

SPC Elijah J. Henry, MBA Oh yes, when I was young and living in the barracks, always had plenty of money, and it was all good.
If you are not in the barracks, you are getting a great housing allowance to cover the costs of housing, and you can definitely take advantage of that.
If you keep up that attitude about money (being smart) you will do well later on, when things get interesting...

CMSgt James Nolan, yep, I am married and living off post. We are not rolling in cash, but we have no worries about bills or unexpected expenses. No debt (at all) when we got married, still no debt two years later when I graduated college, and still no debt after about 2 1/2 years TIS. We even got rid of the credit card entirely somewhere along the way (still don't have one).

SPC Elijah J. Henry, MBA - That is so awesome to hear. So many are just absolutely buried under jacked up credit, horrible mistakes, predatory loans etc.
Haven't met you, but proud of you for accomplishing all of that.

I've been doing that for most of the last 18 years. It takes careful budgeting, but it can work.

Yes, but it's getting more difficult. Any major medical procedures next year will most likely wipe out what's left of my savings.
