SSgt Alex Robinson Thanks for the good information. I just also wanted to say that you shouldn't ever underestimate the value of a good security program like Norton, or Kaspersky Internet Security programs. Also, although it's a bit expensive, "Lifelock" can really be a lifesaver when it comes to protecting your personal information, especially bank accounts. (Lifelock also gives you a monthly updated free credit score.)

Personally, unless you're facing some increased security threats, free anti-virus software like AVG work great. It's what I use and I've never been disappointed. Yes, signatures will be pushed to you a little slower on the free version but most of us can wait 30 days for the latest signatures and be fine. If AVG doesn't suit your needs, there are plenty others out there for free.

I actually do all of these things except for #7. the "Two-factor authentication"... Not sure why i haven't used it as it is a sensible idea. I think I will incorporate it this week-end. Thanks for posting!
