I have recently been reading articles from neuropsychologists stating it might be possible to identify malingering in college students with some simple testing. Do you think the army should adopt something similar? Additionally, does the army have an effective system currently in place to identify malingering?

Not until it is a perfected system, it would be tragic to treat someone as a malingerer if they have a real problem that was missed by the "experts".

I'm rather cynical, and believe that malingering is a major problem. That being said, I wouldn't trust a system that was supposed to detect it. Would be impossible to implement effectively.

I want to point out that the articles I read focused on identifying malingering with ADHD and PTSD symptoms. However, the PH.D's go on to discuss there is potential for expanded used with other medical conditions.
