Should Service Members should be armed during the duty day?

As terrorists infiltrate our borders and seemingly benign citizens become radicalized, a military uniform is a target of opportunity, isn't it? Is it fair to hang a target on someone and then deny them the right or ability to defend themselves?

I think it should be job contingent to be honest. Also, definitely needs to be contingent on current weapons qualifications for that weapon system.
