I think he would be a good speaker myself. He's already shown that he is ready, willing, and able to work with the Democrats to fix budgetary issues.

He seems to be a decent candidate, not on the fringe and not particularly beholden to anyone. Honestly I'm also kind of glad he didn't want the job, I think that may mean he's better for it.
