Pt. To be physically tough one must be mentally tough as well. In my 20+ years of service physical training has been my stress relief, motivation and direction.

SFC Stephen King Soldiers aren't able to pass their APFT, I think they should do their own PT on their own, this is the basic thing to stay in the Army, just like every other job.

I don't think it's necessarily the APFT, but more about professional appearance and being physically capable of leading your Soldiers. On that point, I wonder why Officers are never mentioned in articles like these. Our fitness levels and appearances are probably worse than the NCOs and Soldiers the SMA likes to point out.

MAJ (Join to see) Sir how's Camp Casey, is it true 2nd ID doesn't have Manchu mile anymore?

The reason I think that the officers never been mentioned is because every officer hits their O-4 mark, they don't do much group pt anymore or not as much pt as the young officers.

SPC Lai, Camp Casey is still the same and will probably remain so for the next 5 years until we all move to Camp Humphreys. 2ID doesnt do Manchu Mile anymore because 2-9 INF deactivated last summer along with 1ABCT. I believe the last Manchu Mile was held this past May.

This seems like a "no brainer." Soldiers should be able to pass an APFT (granting qualifications for profiles and other exceptions). I'm honestly less concerned with height/weight than simple PT scores.
