Whether it's a topic on 'crying', equating a 'non'-commissioned officer with a 'non' white or vice versa, most/least favorite (name something), using 'GO!' with a topic, 20 different conversations about an update regulation, etc., what's been the most ridiculous topic posted on RallyPoint?<br><br>Although there may be numerous, try to name just one.

<div>This discussion.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div>A huge reason soldiers don't open up their mouths and ask questions is because of the ridicule they receive from seniors who believe they are the only ones with legitimate things to say. Or seniors who believe their sole version of so-called "common sense" is the correct version of common sense.&nbsp;<div><br></div><div>Im all for humor but I support learning and spreading knowledge more than anything.&nbsp;<br><div><br></div><div>Perhaps RallyPoint should have a separate site where service members who know everything can go and floss their knowledge ;) &nbsp;</div></div>

i don't know why that discussion is so polarizing. It is just a question.

Haha roger, SFC William Laws. The question itself was legit just because not everyone has such a broad perspective but I agree the refusal to budge on his position was pretty crazy.

SSG James Palmer IV I completely understand what you mean. I agree that it is scary however there are many examples of leaders who may have had a toxic mentality in the past, but after a few eye-opening situations, they become outstanding leaders (Malcolm X comes to mind).

I just hope that discussion was one of those times when a leader's perspective was broadened and corrected.

There are certain things that you just know are ridiculous. "Should a jr. enlisted stand at parade rest for an NCO/PO's wife"???? Yeah, I'm all about spreading knowledge, but I'm good with calling this one ridiculous. One needs to engage the brain at a most basic level....and someone who's one promotion list away from being a senior NCO shouldn't be asking a question like this.

If we all vote YES! Let SSG Woods wear a prom dress to the Army Ball.....do you think they'll shut this thread down and archive it? Cuz if so...I can think of a lot of ways to get people to vote that way..........

It will go down in RP as a discussion of infamy.

To me this seems too much like calling fellow members out for creating the topics being highlighted here. Sure, some may be silly, but it seems like kind of a dick move to create a topic purely to poke fun at this. <br>

I would also agree. It just seems like a "Why don't you know this? You opinion doesn't matter and I know all." kind of thing. Why would one argue what is ridiculous. What is ridiculous is that some topics are only made popular by people trying to stop them.
