One year our unit had a Christmas party for 150 folks. We had some really neat door prizes, but I told the winners they had to act excited to pick up the prize. We had the white elephant gift exchange-that eats up a lot of time. The last festivity was a karaoke gong contest for singers. It helped that we had an extroverted gongmeister. You will find out a few can really sing and the others were average or sucked. We also had the platoons compete. The crowd got so animated they started to boo the singers before they even started lol. Have fun with the troops!

We're doing a Co level Dining Out. I'd say over 90% of our Soldiers have never been to one so that's going to make it all the more better. I've been explaining some of the tradition etc and they are stoked. One thing we're doing that we aren't telling them is we are going to have a Bag pipe player there(I've heard him he's awesome)
They are kinda concerned about the grog ceremony..lol.

Yes Sir. Guarenteed to cure any ailments you have lol. Since we're in TN you can guarantee that some good quality "well water" will be involved. We also are working on a few door prizes. I'm trying to convince the CDR and 1SG that their positions be given out for one of our drill weekends(obviously with them supervising). They did that one time when I was in Germany and it was fun. I won BN CDR for a day..lol

Worked a deal with local Hotel with banquet room. Got a good rate on rooms and good deal on banquet room. No reason for anyone to drive.
