How long did it take you to fully make the transition into civilian life, after you were discharged?

I don't think you fully transition into civilian life. There is always something that stays with us.

Yeah, it'll be three years for me come the 10th; I'm just starting to get used to things, like being a full time housewife for example! Lol!

SPC Margaret Higgins - SCPO David Lockwood, if that is a good thing, (that the military stayed/stays with you)- then I am happy for you. The military is fully ensconced in us-I believe-if ever we have experienced it.

SPC Margaret Higgins - Your training never leaves you. I've been retired for 9 years now and I still have dreams about still being active. My wife has woken me up many times asking"who are you yelling at?" Me working on the flight deck we were always yelling. There are little habits that stay with you as well. So as far some things stay with us this is true and not all things that stay with you are bad.
