1% Ranking; Did you notice when you reached the top 1%?

By simply filling out a profile and actively contributing to discussions on this site, I have ranked to the 1% of SM in my rank. Others who hold such a badge please chime in! Is this what it felt like to you when you hit your 1% badge?

haha...Takes a long time for us older Soldiers to get to that level as there are so many of us willing to give our advice/experiences. Invite your friends/peers to the group so we can have their input as well.

Honestly I didn't even notice when I hit the 1%, but that's partially because the playing field down at E-3 is quite soft.

I don't know about "easy button" but it didn't take very long, once I became active, to achieve the 1%. If you are active and doing the right thing, you will get there rather quickly.

I believe I was an early adopter, and time has a great deal to do with it. Since I started from the beginning, it was easier for me to get to the top 1% since I am consistent in posting.

So I really didn't have the goal of becoming or anything like that since when I joined there was no such thing.

But I think if you offer good value, not just trying to get points for the sake of it, and are consistent at it, in no time you will get there!

I did not notice right away. It's taken me a long time to get the Blue Ribbon, as I had no endorsements. Since returning home from my deployment, while on leave, I have all day to stalk RP and USAJOBs. LOL

I was surprised. I got so into RP and learning from so many different people their aspects and experiences, I didn't realize there was such a system.

I think that those who were on RallyPoint from the start find that it was easy to become part of the 1% because not many people were using it so all it took was a few post here and there and finish up your profile and you are there. I think as the site becomes more popular and more people start to use it staying in the 1% will become harder. Just my 2cents

The hardest part honestly is to share the knowledge. If you do it consistently it could be easy, I personally would rather read and if the answer to a question is presented I move on. Don't need to give the same answer twice if you know what I mean.

I noticed it but it wasn't like I was trying extremely hard to get it. I just participated on the site and it happened.

I had the goal of seeing what was possible when it came to collecting points and such. I didn't have the goal of reaching the 1% right away until I saw how easy it was to get there and how close I was. Honestly I think it made me want to be more active on the site. So yes I noticed but it wasn't my goal at first.
