Blue City Decline: How to Save New York and Other Cities
New York City residents have thrown in the towel. Gotham's quality of life is plunging, but only 11% of registered voters turned out in last Tuesday's local election. Nearly all incumbent members of the New York City Council skated to reelection.
New Yorkers are voting with their feet, abandoning the city instead of going to the polls to demand new leadership. Amazingly, more New Yorkers have fled the city since 2020 than turned out on Election Day.

Lt Col Charlie Brown Living close to NY City we used to frequent it for shows and dinner (Mama Leone's was my favorite restaurant, but now shut their doors and closed up). Now, we wouldn't even think of going near the City. There was a truck driver who used to deliver all the time to NYC and almost everytime his truck would get broken into and everything would be stolen. He decided to buy a new tool box and leave it on the front seat of his truck in plain sight of anyone breaking in. However, what he did was buy a rattlesnake and put it in the toolbox where the snake got hot and aggravated. You guessed it, someone stole the box.

They're making the right choice by leaving. The rest are catatonic. Only a cataclysmic political epiphany will save New York City.
