Excessive Heat warning. I’ll be inside today,
Excessive heat warning today through Wednesday, between Noon and 10 pm for central and eastern Kansas. Heat index near 110 during the hottest part of the day. Sunny, hazy, hot and dry through the weekend and next week. A few records possible. Be care and hydrate if you must go out and seek shade for 10 minutes every hour. In the military when the temps were like this is was work for 10 minutes, cool off for the rest of the hour, show kindness to the homeless. They have no where to go. If they were to make it to a mall, they would lose all their belongings. The churches are locked. There is plenty of asphalt. What seems like an easy solution to us is far more difficult when you must walk everywhere carrying everything you own.
