“ WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) - Over 90 employers packed downtown Wichita's Hyatt Regency Friday morning in hopes of providing job opportunities to veterans.

"I've had nothing but positive feedback honestly, everybody here is so professional and courteous," said former Air Force veteran Carl Royster.

Another job seeker felt at an advantage being a veteran.

"I think it's a plus being a veteran to find a job. I think it gives you some kind of boost out of every booth that you go to I think being a veteran is helpful," said Michael Baker.

Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center was the main sponsor for Friday's event. Dole's coordinator Peter Daniels said in addition to helping veterans they look to help those disabled. He said veterans usually fit both criteria.

"It's really important to be able to make those matches so that our employers can find the right people to do the jobs," added Daniels.

The job fair focused on primarily on veterans but was open to the general public.

Daniels also added if you missed Friday's job fair, you can visit Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center at http://www.wichita.va.gov. For non veterans, you can visit https://workforce-ks.com/
